Prenatal Visits
You are invited to schedule a "get to know you visit" which can last for an hour or so. During this visit I encourage you to ask any question you feel needs to be asked in order to be comfortable with accepting midwifery services with me. Visits can be conducted in my home or in yours, and most visits will last about an hour. If you decide to proceed in midwifery services with me, the average schedule is as follows:
1) Every 4 weeks until about the 28th week of pregnancy
2) Every 2 weeks until the birth
3) Extra visits as needed for problems or concerns
Of course not every woman fits into this schedule! Some ladies need more visits and some ladies want less. Whatever your personal needs and desires are, there is usually a way to accommodate them.
